Marketing Intern - Summer 2026
Job purpose
The Marketing Intern will support the Marketing, Business Development, and Estimating teams by assisting with content creation, brand development, organizational tasks, and day-to-day marketing activities. This internship provides hands-on experience in digital marketing, internal communications, graphic design tools, and exposure to the heavy civil construction industry. The intern will collaborate with multiple departments and contribute to real marketing materials that support company initiatives.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with writing and editing monthly newsletter articles.
- Develop social media content and assist with scheduling and posting.
- Build skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, and other creative software as part of project work.
- Support content creation and collaboration through Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for newsletters, social media, apparel, and general marketing materials.
- Assist the Business Development team with research, lead gathering, and preparation of support materials.
- Participate in meetings as appropriate to gain exposure to client and pursuit discussions.
- Assist with organizing marketing files, apparel inventory, photo libraries, and other digital and physical assets.
- Participate in jobsite photo shoots and help organize and catalogue photos.
- Review past projects and assist in developing "sell" sheets or reference materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Basic experience in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or willingness to learn.
- Photography experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Positive attitude, initiative, and desire to learn.
- Valid driver's license preferred for jobsite visits.
Working conditions
Primarily office based with occasional travel to jobsites or meetings as appropriate. Internship is based in our St. Charles, Missouri office.
