About the Role:

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and scheduling equipment moves between job sites, shops, and yards, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. This role supports field operations by managing driver assignments, maintaining accurate equipment records, and handling permits for oversize and overweight loads. The Dispatcher also assists with compliance documentation, and system updates to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule daily equipment moves through communication with Equipment Manager, Superintendents, and Mechanics, ensuring all loads meet DOT compliance.
  • Produce and email daily driver plan with assignments.
  • Document equipment location changes and maintain detailed move records.
  • Report year-end equipment locations for personal property tax purposes.
  • Obtain state and local permits for oversize and overweight loads.
  • Track driver time for payroll.
  • Upload equipment maintenance records and supporting documents into Spectrum.
  • Approve Spectrum invoices related to equipment operations.
  • Produce and distribute equipment number stickers.
  • Monitor Motive platform for fleet location and tracking purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous dispatching or logistics experience preferred; construction industry experience a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical: Familiarity with DOT regulations, permitting processes, and platforms such as Spectrum and Motive.
  • Other: Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping abilities.

Physical & Work Environment:

  • Office-based with occasional site visits.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
